Who’s me?

I write poems, and I write about poems. I make objects with poems, or objects that are poems. I also like talking poems—with students, with friends, with colleagues, with strangers. I currently teach in the Helen Zell Writers’ Program at the University of Michigan. In the past, I’ve taught literature and creative writing classes at Cornell University, Victoria University, and the University of Iowa. My first book of poetry, Undershore, was a finalist for the 2020 National Poetry Series and was published by Lightscatter Press in Spring 2023. My second poetry manuscript, Fire Series, was a finalist for the 2021 National Poetry Series.
